When you want to remove a book from your device, just tap and hold it. but it leaves it in the Cloud, so that you can put it back on your device whenever you choose. It only takes the book off of the device. Now, to answer Marcia’s original question: removing the books from your Kindle or Kindle App does not ‘delete’ them from your life. The Cloud is the source for all your content on all your Kindle-powered devices. When I read a book, for example, I will typically download it to my Paperwhite AND to my iPhone Kindle app AND to my old bathtub Kindle, so I can pick up the book and continue reading wherever I am.Īny family member or anyone else sharing the same Amazon account can have the same books on their Kindle at the same time, as well. The latter refers to the cloud library which serves as a placeholder for all your e-books. The thing to keep in mind here is that the e-books you buy from Amazon, the ones you rent or add to your Kindle device get stored in two places – the native storage on your Kindle or the Kindle Library. Here is how you delete e-books from your Kindle. It’s the same the other way round as well, that is removing e-books from your Kindle is also equally easy. Amazon has also ensured buying new e-books is super easy, it’s just a few taps and you can start off with your favorite title right away. One of the reasons the Kindles are so in demand is their ability to hold plenty of books, maybe your entire library, and then still have space for some more. ![]()
